Itinerario completo

Day 1: Sacred Valley tour

You will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco and drive to Awanacncha alpaca farm, here, your tour guide will show the diference between a llama and alpaca, and visit the textile center. Next, you will visit the Pisaq Archeological site and local Market. Lunch will be buffet style in Urubamba at a Local restaurant. After lunch, explore the Ollantaytambo Inca site and modern town and discover why it is called the “Last living Inca City”. Spend the night on a 4-star hotel near the Inca Trail.

Day 2: Training Day

After Breakfast in your hotel, drive to Km 82 to start the iconic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Hike along the Urubamba river, visit local villages and enjoy the amazing views of the ancient Inca sites and the Andes. The campsite is located at Ayapata(3300m / 10829ft).

Day 3: Challenging day

Wake up early with a cup of coffee in your tent and get ready for the most challenging day. The day starts with a steep 4-hours ascend to Warmiwañusca, better known as Dead Woman’s Pass(4200m / 13779ft). Lunch is served 2 hours down at Pacaymayo Valley. After Lunch, start another 2-hour steep climb to Runccuracay Pass (3956 m / 12979 ft). Next, continue 2 more hours to the second campsite at Chaquicocha (3600m / 11800 ft). Throughout the day, you will visit several Inca sites such as Runccuracay, Sayarmarka, Conchamarca, and enjoy the amazing view of the Vilcanota and Vilcabamba mountain ranges.

Day 4: Easy day

Today is the easiest day of the Inca Trail, the hike starts with a 2-hour hike to the archaeological site of Phuyupatamarca (3660 m / 12007 ft), which means ” the town in the clouds”. Next, descend for 3 hours to the farming terraces of Intipata (2800 m / 9186 ft), then, you will continue for 30 more minutes to the final campsite at Winaywayna (2670 m / 8759 ft). After Lunch, you will explore the Wiñaywayna Inca site, one the most beautiful and largest archeological site inside the Inca Trail.

Day 3: Machu Picchu

The final day and most important day of teh Inca Trail start with a 1-hour hike to Sungate. Here, if the weather allows, you will experience the most amazing sunrise and the best views of the great 15th-century Inca citadel. Machu Picchu was rediscovered in 1911 by the American Explorer Hiram Bingham and since then, thousands of visitors arrive to explore mysterious palaces and stone constructions. Once you finish exploring with your expert local tour guide, take the bus down to Aguas Calientes, enjoy lunch, visit the local market, and take the Vistadome train back to Ollantaytambo, where our private transportation will pick you up and transfer you back to your hotel.
